I will make your wordpress site ready for the latest PHP tested on staging first

About this gig
Is your host moving you to PHP 8.3 or 8.4? PHP 8.2 stops getting security fixes on 31 Dec 2026, and old plugin or theme code can turn into warnings or a white screen when PHP changes.
I check before anything changes. I scan every plugin and theme on your site with PHPReady, my own free scanner plugin, and send you a plain-English report: what breaks, the file and line, and how to fix it.
Basic: the scan and the written report.
Standard: I also fix up to 3 problems in your custom code (child theme, custom plugin, snippets), re-test them on the new PHP version, and give you an update plan for the rest.
Premium: I also switch PHP on a staging copy, smoke-test your key pages (home, forms, checkout) and help you go live with a rollback plan.
I build WordPress plugins. I take a backup before changing anything, and your live site is touched last.
Honest limits: no scanner catches every problem, and I don't rewrite third-party plugin code. If a plugin has no PHP 8.3-ready version, I tell you and suggest a replacement.
Message me your host and current PHP version before ordering.

FAQ
Will the upgrade break my site?
Basic changes nothing; it only reads code. In Premium I switch PHP on a staging copy first and touch your live site only after you approve, with a backup and a rollback plan. No one can promise every plugin works on a new PHP version, so the report names the risky ones before anything changes.
Do you need my password?
Please create a temporary Administrator user for me and delete it after delivery. For Basic, a zip of your wp-content/plugins and wp-content/themes folders also works: no login, no database.
What is PHPReady?
My own free WordPress plugin that checks plugin and theme code against PHP 8.2 to 8.5. I install it for the scan and remove it afterwards unless you want to keep it. It reads code without running it, so I check every finding by hand before it goes in your report.
My host has no staging site.
Tell me your host and plan before ordering. I can usually create a staging copy on a subdomain; if your plan can't, I'll say so before you pay.
Will you fix third-party plugins?
I update them to a version that supports the new PHP. I don't edit vendor code, because the next plugin update would erase the change. If no fixed version exists, I suggest a replacement.
Does it work for WooCommerce?
Yes. Checkout is part of the Premium smoke test, using a test payment method only, never a real charge.
