I will be your alpha or beta reader for blogs, stories, novels
Writer, Reader, Traveler
About this Gig
I'm an avid book reader and aspiring author. To see other writers like myself blossom, I'm offering alpha and beta reading.
As an alpha reader, the primary objective is to answer this question: "Does the story make sense overall?" I focus on clarity, plot development, flow and pacing, conflict resolution, character growth and personality.
Beta reading is much more thorough. The questions deepen, and I go through your writing with a fine-toothed comb. I look at:
- The believability of character growth, motivations, and relationships
- How the story resonates emotionally
- Flow and pacing
- The satisfaction of the resolution
- How closely the writing, pacing, and flow align with your vision as an author
I will always hype you up because it takes a lot to write a story--and that alone means it deserves to be read. My goal is to help you make your story the best it can be BEFORE it reaches the editor.
Happy to read fantasy, romance, sci-fi, fiction, nonfiction, poetry, children's books, LGBTQ+, horror, thriller, and anything in between.

FAQ
Will you review AI-generated work?
No. I will not accept AI-generated content for review. If it reads like AI, I will cancel your request. Writing stories is a human endeavor that must come from the soul.
What will your alpha or beta read report include?
For either service, you will receive a general grammatical overview, character analysis, plot insight about what works or doesn't, specific areas quoted with my thoughts, overall opinion about enjoyability and readability. Expect hype.
How does the alpha read differ from your premium beta read?
An alpha read is meant to answer two vital questions: Are there any looming holes in the plot (or thesis)? Secondly, is the story enjoyable? If you have a diamond in the rough, consider an alpha read. If you're polishing for publication, go beta.
