Same project, different names over time. It's a self-hosted AI assistant platform (218k GitHub stars) that runs on your server and connects to WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord and more — all at once.
What is a Skill exactly?
A Skill is a SKILL.md file + implementation code that gives your assistant a new capability. Instead of just chatting, it can check websites, pull data from APIs, query a DB, send alerts — whatever you need.
Do I need a VPS?
For 24/7 availability yes. A $5-10/month server (Hetzner, DigitalOcean) is enough. I'll help you choose and set it up. It can also run locally on Mac or Linux.
How is this different from the $25-$50 setup gigs on Fiverr?
Those gigs install the platform. I install it AND build custom Skills for your actual workflow. A working OpenClaw with no Skills is just a chat window.
Can I add new Skills later?
Yes, but it requires basic technical steps — editing the SKILL.md, pushing to GitHub, triggering the pipeline, and verifying the deployment. I deliver full documentation. For non-technical clients, I recommend ordering the "Additional Skill" extra — I handle everything.
