About this Gig
Need SEC filing data without spending weeks wrestling with EDGAR yourself?
I turn SEC EDGAR filings into clean, analysis-ready datasets.
WHAT I CAN PULL
- 10-K / 10-Q financials (XBRL to structured tables)
- Form D - recently funded private companies (ideal for lead lists)
- Form 3/4/5 - insider buying and selling
- 13F - institutional and hedge fund holdings
- 8-K - material events and executive changes
- Full-text keyword search across all filing types
WHAT YOU GET
Clean CSV or Excel. Properly typed columns, duplicates removed, every field documented so you know what you are looking at. Ready for Excel, Power BI, or your database. Not a raw dump you still have to clean.
WHY ME
I am a data engineer (Python, SQL, BigQuery, Airflow, dbt) who builds production pipelines, not throwaway scripts. I use SEC official APIs and bulk datasets, so results are accurate, reproducible, and compliant with SEC fair-access rules.
Need it ongoing? Premium delivers a reusable pipeline you own and run yourself.
All EDGAR data is public record. Message me with the companies, form types, and date range, and I will confirm what is possible before you order.

FAQ
Is pulling SEC EDGAR data legal?
Yes. Every EDGAR filing is public record published by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. I use SEC official APIs and bulk data files and respect their published rate limits, so nothing is taken from behind a login or paywall.
What file formats do you deliver?
CSV and Excel by default. I can also deliver JSON, Parquet, Google Sheets, or load the data straight into your database or warehouse such as PostgreSQL, BigQuery or Snowflake. Just tell me where it needs to land.
How far back can you pull historical filings?
EDGAR holds electronic filings from 1993 onward, and structured XBRL financial data from roughly 2009. Any range inside that window works. Pre-2009 filings are text based and need extra parsing time, so allow a longer delivery window.
Can you track new filings automatically?
Yes. Premium includes a pipeline with state tracking, so each run pulls only genuinely new filings and never duplicates what you already have. Scheduled runs plus email or Slack alerts can be added as an extra.
I am not sure which form type I need. Can you help?
Absolutely. Tell me the question you are trying to answer, such as funding activity, insider buying, fund holdings or executive changes, and I will map it to the right SEC form and show you sample output before you order.
Do I get the source code?
Yes with Premium, where the pipeline is yours to keep, modify and rerun as often as you like. Basic and Standard deliver the finished dataset only, but source code can be added to either as a gig extra.
