My services are provided in three separate tiers to accommodate multiple needs.
The excerpt edit is for that chapter your agent or publisher wants to see before they will work with you. You have to convince them that your work is worth the effort. I will provide suggested changes to your chapter to make that first impression.
The developmental edit is for your finished manuscript that you are ready to show the world. I am your fresh set of eyes that can see that mysterious antidote that you found but forgot to use in your plot later. I see the MC's best friend whose entire purpose was to find out who his father is, but never got to find in your stand alone novel. Every author makes small mistakes that fall through the cracks until you get to me.
The multi step package is for the author that wants a thorough experience, but noticing the price tag on the developmental editor, the line editor, and the copy editor all adding up breaks your wallet's heart. Instead you can work with me, and I will do all three under one price point for a lower overall cost. Your story will have the chance to shine without any distractions.

FAQ
Do you edit other genres besides fantasy or romance?
I do allow some flexibility on genre that I am happy to discuss. I am willing to branch out to sci-fi, historical fiction, children's books, and self help books quite easily. Some of the genres I will not edit include but are not limited to: horror, non-fiction, and religious.
Why are your prices much lower than most editors?
Most editors have obtained an english degree and have years of experience. I do not have either. For now, my prices reflect my temporary lack of professional experience.
Do you provide a final proofread in your multi step edit?
I do not. When I have completed the developmental edit, line edit, and copy edit, your manuscript will need a fresh set of eyes for your final proofread.
Do you know any other languages besides English?
For editing purposes, I only know English, although I do know very small amounts of Spanish and ASL.
Why are your estimated completion times so long?
I work 40 hours a week during the school year as an educator. I also do not want to compromise on quality editing.
Will you edit spicy/NSFW stories?
Absolutely! Bring it on!
Will you edit LGBT stories?
Of course I will!
Are you able to do a custom package?
Yes. For example, if your children's book is only 100 or 200 words, I would make a custom order to accommodate. Another example is if your manuscript is much smaller than 80,000 words, such as 30,000 words I would make a custom order for you.
