FAQ
My Google Ad Grant account got suspended. Can it come back?
Often yes. Google lets you request reinstatement once the cause is fixed: low-CTR keywords paused, 2 sitelinks added, geo-targeting or conversion tracking corrected. I find the exact cause first. Review time is Google’s, so I can’t promise a date.
We have the grant but can’t spend the $10,000. Why?
There is no spend requirement and Google won’t close you for underspending. Low spend usually means thin keyword volume, loose structure or tight targeting. I rebuild the structure for real spend. $10,000 is a ceiling, so I never promise it.
Do I need conversion tracking, and what counts?
Yes. Your account needs valid tracking and at least 1 recorded conversion a month. Donations, sign-ups and volunteer forms count. Time on site must be set to ‘Other’. I set it up in GA4 and Google Ads and test that it fires.
What is the 5% CTR rule and does every keyword need it?
5% is measured on the whole account each month, not per keyword. Two months under it and Google deactivates you. I prune weak keywords and add branded campaigns, which usually have a high CTR, to lift the average.
Does your fee come out of our $10,000 ad budget?
No. The $10,000 is only for Google ads and can’t pay for services. My fee is separate. Google also allows grantees to work with third-party managers, so hiring me won’t put your grant at risk.
Can we run the grant and a paid Google Ads account together?
es. They run as two separate accounts under one linked manager account. Grant ads are search only and capped, so a small paid account can cover what the grant can’t, like Display or Shopping. I can manage both.
The previous owner left. Can you get us back into our grant account?
Usually, if your organization can prove it owns the Google for Nonprofits and Ads accounts. I guide you through admin recovery first, then audit what’s inside, because inherited accounts often hide broken tracking or old keywords.
Will you audit my account before I commit to a monthly plan?
Yes, the audit stands alone. You get a plain-English report on CTR, keywords, tracking, structure and suspension risks, ranked by urgency, so you can fix it yourself or hire me to do it.
