As your beta reader, I will give you the tough love you need to make your book shine. I'll go through your book with a fine-toothed comb, looking for any flags or issues that may potentially arise for your reader. This includes thoroughly reviewing your book for:
- Proofreading and grammatical errors
- Inconsistencies in themes, plot, characters, setting, and tone
- Reader attrition
- Culture and sensibility issues
- Entertainment factor and accessibility
- Marketability
- Any other points that you would like me to address
In the end, you'll have a Beta Reader Report and Inline Commentary full of honest, thoughtful, and constructive feedback.

What genres do you beta read?
I can beta read children/young adult stories, short stories, novellas, novels, historical fiction, memoirs, biographies, self-help, and how-tos. If you don't see your genre, please feel free to message me and I'll be happy to take a look at your project!
Can you alpha read or edit my book?
Yes! If you find yourself stuck or have a nagging feeling that something isn't right with your rough draft, please request a custom quote for an alpha read or developmental editing. I will take a look at your work-in-progress and provide you with the feedback you need to move your project forward.
What does your Beta Reader Report include?
Based on the package that you purchase, you will either get a short 200-300 word summary, answers to your list of questions, and/or an overall scorecard based on ten categories graded on a 100-point scale.
What does your Inline Commentary include?
The Inline Commentary is a comprehensive list of all the proofreading errors, impressions, and thoughts that I have while reading your text. I will usually refer to and quote the Inline Commentary while writing the Beta Reader Report.
What do you ghostwrite?
I specialize in ghostwriting nonfiction, how-tos, self-help, autobiographies, biographies, personal memoirs, and family histories. This also includes historical narratives requiring footnotes or endnotes.
