I will design and develop your board game mechanics and gameplay

About this gig
Your board game idea isn't the problem. The problem is turning that idea into mechanics that actually work together.
If turns feel unclear, players have no meaningful choices, cards don't interact properly, or the game becomes repetitive or unbalanced, the concept can fall apart during playtesting.
I help turn rough board game and card game ideas into structured gameplay systems built around clear decisions, interaction, balance, and player experience.
I can develop:
- Core gameplay loops
- Turn and round structures
- Player actions and interactions
- Card and component systems
- Resources and economies
- Scoring and victory conditions
- Progression systems
- Game balancing
- Rules and gameplay structure
- Prototype documentation
My process starts with your concept, identifies what the game is supposed to make players feel and do, then builds the mechanics around that goal. I also look for unnecessary complexity, weak interactions, dominant strategies, unclear rules, and systems that don't contribute to the experience.
Send me your concept, prototype, or current rules and let's develop the game.

FAQ
Do I need a complete game idea?
No. You can start with a rough concept, theme, basic mechanic, or even an unfinished prototype. I'll help structure the gameplay around your intended experience.
Can you develop mechanics from scratch?
Yes. I can develop the core gameplay loop, player actions, interactions, scoring, victory conditions, card systems, resources, and other mechanics depending on the project.
Can you improve an existing board game?
Yes. I can review an existing game and identify problems with mechanics, balance, player interaction, pacing, complexity, and rules before proposing improvements.
Do you design card games too?
Yes. Card games, party games, strategy games, tabletop games, and hybrid board/card games can be developed depending on the requirements.
Do you provide a physical prototype?
Don't promise this in the standard gig unless you're actually providing it. The safer offer is prototype-ready documentation/files. Physical prototyping should be a custom service.
Can you write the rulebook?
Yes, if the selected package includes rule structure/rulebook development. A complete professionally formatted rulebook can also be offered as a custom order.
Will I own the game?
You should define your ownership terms clearly in your Gig. Don't casually promise intellectual-property transfer unless your Fiverr terms and your agreement support it.
