I will critique your work and give helpful criticism. Talk about what works and what doesnt. Answer your questions and concerns about your work. I can look at a single painting/drawing or a body of work or discuss ideas you have for work you haven't started. I can help direct a focus and direction to take your work to the next level. Whether you're a beginner that needs an understanding of the basics or a mid-career artist who might be stuck or just wants to bounce ideas around, I would love to be part of your process.
I offer written critiques but am also available for a video call that I feel would be most productive as a back-and-forth dialogue where I can get to understand you and your work and give you a well-formed opinion and recommendations.

As a professionally trained visual artist with a background in painting, drawing, multimedia, and conceptual art, I have degrees in Illustration, Fine Art, and a master’s degree in Painting. I have been exhibiting and selling my work internationally in galleries and museums for 25 years as well as on various online platforms. Over the years, I have sat on the board of a local arts organization and been a member of many critique groups. I have extensive experience with promotion on social media.
Most of all, I love talking about art and working with artists to get your art to the next level.

What is involved in the critique process?
I will give constructive feedback on your art based on what you are looking for. I will discuss the things that are working well and what could use improvement while giving suggestions on things to try to make the work better. This can be for a single piece of art or a series of works.
Can we discuss my needs before purchasing?
Yes. I prefer to discuss what you are looking for beforehand. It will give me a better sense of you and your work so I can give the most constructive feedback. And to make sure I am the right fit for you and your art.
Where did you go to school? What is your artistic background?
I studied drawing, design, and illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology and received an Illustration degree from Pratt Institute. I have a graduate degree in Painting from William Paterson Univ. I have been critiquing art for 25 years.
