What file formats do you accept?
I can work with most common CAD file formats such as STEP (.stp/.step), IGES (.igs/.iges), SolidWorks (.sldprt), Fusion 360, and others. If you’re unsure, just send me your file and I’ll confirm compatibility.
What type of mesh files will I receive?
You’ll get clean, ready-to-use polygon mesh files such as .FBX, .OBJ, or .GLTF, depending on your needs. I can also export in other formats if required.
Do you offer decimation or retopology for performance optimization?
Yes! I can create lightweight, optimized meshes suitable for real-time applications (games, AR/VR, web). For higher-end rendering, I can also deliver high-poly versions.
What’s the difference between decimation and retopology?
Decimation: Automatically reduces polygon count while keeping the original shape. Fast and affordable. Retopology: Manual or semi-automatic rebuilding of the mesh for best performance, UV unwrapping, and animation readiness. Higher quality but takes more time.
Will my model be ready for 3D printing?
If you need a watertight STL or OBJ for 3D printing, let me know! I can adapt the process for print-friendly meshes.
What if my CAD model is very complex?
I’ll analyze it first and let you know the best approach (decimation vs. retopology). Extremely heavy models may require additional time or a custom order.
