Will I lose my Google rankings?
Not if the redirects are built properly. Every old URL gets a 301 to its new equivalent, and meta data and structured data come across intact. HomeSpice gained 29% revenue after migration with no ranking loss.
Will my store go down during the switch?
No. Everything is built and tested on a Shopify development store first. The cutover is a DNS change, scheduled outside your business hours.
Can you migrate order history and customer passwords?
Orders, customers and full order history, yes. Passwords cannot be migrated from any platform — Shopify sends customers a one-time account activation email instead, and I'll set that flow up for you.
Do I actually need Shopify Plus?
Only if you need B2B, checkout customisation, or high order volume. For most stores standard Shopify is enough, and I'll tell you honestly which one you need rather than upselling you.
What happens to my apps and integrations?
Send me your current stack. I'll map each one to a Shopify equivalent, or build a custom integration where no equivalent exists — that's what the ERP/API extra covers.
Who pays for the Shopify plan and apps?
You do, directly to Shopify. The gig price covers development only, so you keep full ownership of the store from day one.
