Planning to manufacture a PCB and want an independent engineering review first?
I will review your schematic, PCB layout and manufacturing data to identify potential electrical, layout and DFM issues before you order boards.
My review can cover:
Schematic connectivity and component implementation
Power distribution, grounding and decoupling

Trace widths, clearances, vias and return paths
Analogue, digital, mixed-signal and RF-aware layout considerations
Footprints, polarity and connector checks

This service is an engineering review, not formal EMC, safety or regulatory certification.

What files do you need for the review?
Ideally, please provide your schematic and PCB source files in Altium Designer or KiCad format, together with PDFs, Gerbers and BOM where available. If you only have some of these files, contact me first and I can confirm what can be reviewed.
What do you check during the review?
Depending on the selected package, I can check schematic implementation, component ratings, power distribution, grounding, decoupling, placement, routing, trace widths, clearances, vias, return paths, footprints, polarity, connectors and DFM/manufacturing risks.
Will you provide a written report?
Yes. You will receive a review report containing the areas checked, identified findings, their priority and practical recommendations.
Will you fix the issues you find?
This Gig primarily provides an independent engineering review and recommendations. If you would like me to correct or redesign the files afterwards, I can provide a separate custom offer once the required changes are understood.
Does the review guarantee that my PCB will work or pass certification?
No. The review is intended to reduce engineering and manufacturing risk, but it does not replace prototype testing, formal EMC testing, electrical safety assessment or regulatory certification.
Can you review RF, high-speed or power electronics boards?
Potentially, yes. These projects can vary significantly in complexity, so please contact me before ordering. I will review the requirements and confirm whether the project is suitable and which package or custom scope is appropriate.
Which PCB software do you support?
My primary PCB tools are Altium Designer and KiCad. I can also review manufacturing outputs such as Gerbers and PDFs from other tools where sufficient information is available.
What counts as a revision?
A revision covers clarification or reasonable re-review of changes relating to the original findings and agreed scope. New functionality, major circuit changes or a substantial redesign may require a separate custom offer.
