Do I need to have an AWS account already?
Yes, you'll need your own AWS account , it stays yours, and so does everything I build in it. If you haven't set one up, I'll walk you through it in about ten minutes. New accounts also get 12 months of free tier, so most small APIs cost nearly nothing to run at first.
How much will this cost me to run every month?
For a small or early-stage app, usually under $5 , often literally zero on the free tier. Lambda and DynamoDB only charge for what you actually use, so an API sitting idle overnight costs you nothing. I'll give you a realistic estimate based on your expected traffic before you order.
Can you connect this to my existing website or mobile app?
Yes. You get standard REST endpoints that work with React, Vue, Flutter, native iOS/Android, or anything else that can make an HTTP request. I'll include example requests so your frontend developer can plug it in immediately.
What do you need from me to get started?
Three things: a short description of what the API should do, the data you need to store, and access to your AWS account (or I can hand you code you deploy yourself). Message me before ordering and I'll confirm the right package for your scope.
Do I get the source code?
Always, in every package. You get the full code plus the SAM template, which means you can redeploy or modify it any time without coming back to me. No lock-in.
Can you add user login and authentication?
Yes ,that's included from the Standard package up, using Amazon Cognito. You get user signup, login, and protected endpoints that only authenticated users can reach.
Is serverless right for my project?
Not always, and I'll tell you honestly if it isn't. Serverless is excellent for APIs, webhooks, and apps with uneven traffic.
