About this gig
This hourly price is for consideration of a book that is read at a pace of 7,200 to 9,300 words per hour. Biographies, political thrillers, true crime, western, cowboy and old west stories ... your book or documentary will be professionally narrated and final files will meet or exceed minimum standards for Audible and other audiobook platforms. I am an Audible Approved Producer with close to 100 published titles. If you are not already set up on ACX, I can help you get started. I record, you listen and proof for quality control. You make notes of mistakes (mispronunciations, incorrect reading of the manuscript, etc - this does not include "post direction of performance"). I will make any corrections necessary and then deliver the final files to you, by chapter, including opening and closing credits plus a "retail sample" (up to a 5 minute sample from the book) or, I can upload to ACX for you. No gratuitous profanity, sex scenes, or demonic themes. I like to say, "good, clean fun". I am available to narrate a sample for you to make sure we are "on the same page".

If you've searched for mature, gritty, deep or authentic western southern voice I'd love to tell your story. I've voiced political ads, radio & TV commercials, audiobooks and narrations for video projects that call for a genuine and natural delivery. I can be a rustic and strong trail boss in an old-west cowboy adventure or that of an authoritative figure booming out directives. You'll also hear a warmth in my work that could easily be your dad or grandfather, sharing wise advice in a conversational tone. Will my files be compatible with the major audiobook distributors?
Yes. I am an Audible Approved Producer. Your files will be ready to upload to the platform of your choice. I have experience on the ACX platform (an Audible/Amazon company). If you don't have an author profile, I can help you do that. Payment still goes through Fiverr. Files go through ACX.
Have you narrated other books?
Yes, your book won't be my first rodeo. I have narrated over 80 titles.
In what format do you need the manuscript?
I prefer a word or pages document. I can work with other formats (like a PDF).
Is there a minimum based on the PFH (Per Finished Hour)?
Yes. A 3 hour "Finished" minimum project is required. In other words, a narration that is, at minimum, at least 3 hours in listening time. Approximately $500.
