I'll give you informed, broad-view insights on story flow, clarity, emotional resonance, consistency, authenticity, etc.
The Developmental Edit
You'll get things like:
- Detailed suggestions on shoring up pacing, story beats, and structure
- Tips on keeping your plot propulsive
- Specific ways to strengthen character and voice
I offer as little as a single pass through the text to more hands-on help with subsequent revisions/rewrites and even coaching on a more ongoing basis. It's all up to you.

Do you offer line-by-line edits or copy edits?
Yes, I do offer these. If you're interested in line edits/copy edits, I'm happy to arrange that once we've made it through the developmental stage.
Do you assist with revision/rewrites?
Yes, I can offer as little as a single pass through your text or as much subsequent support as you need. We can even arrange for ongoing coaching if you want a more hands-on editor. Just ask!
What if I have questions or don't agree with your edits?
All my suggestions are just that—suggestions. The final choice to accept any edits is always 100% yours. A developmental edit is often a collaborative process, so I'm always happy to keep a dialog open where I can answer questions or propose alternatives.
