Do I need to send you a 3D model or sketch of my magnet design?
Not necessarily. You can send a rough sketch, reference image, or just a written description with dimensions. If you already have a CAD file or STL, I can also work from that.
What file formats will I receive?
You'll get a print ready STL file by default. Native Fusion 360 (.f3d) and STEP files are available depending on your package, so you can edit or share the design across other CAD software.
Will the design actually fit my 3D printer's tolerances?
Yes. I check tolerances specifically for FDM printing, including fit for interlocking parts, magnet cavities, and press fit or slide fit connections based on your printer setup.
Can you design magnet housings or enclosures, not just the magnet shape itself?
Yes. I can design magnet cavities, holders, or enclosures that integrate magnets into a larger part, as long as you share the dimensions or context for the assembly.
