FAQ
What is your Proofreading / Editing style like?
Generally, I do direct line editing for simple things such as misspellings, run-on sentences, or sentence fragments. For major sections that need massive rewrites, I'll clean them up as best I can, highlight the area, and leave a comment explaining why they need a revision.
Will you format it so it can be ready to be made into an Ebook?
No. That is a separate gig altogether. However, I do offer a formatting gig for Authors looking to publish their manuscripts in a .pdf, .epub, or other formats. Look at what other Gigs I offer to help with that.
Will you preserve the formatting in the document?
Yes. To the best of my ability.
Do you translate?
No. I'm only fluent in English. However, I will still proofread and edit your document if English is not your first language (Provided it's in English) and edit it so it reads naturally.
Do you use AI in any way?
No. I prefer to proofread and edit without the use of AI so the text sounds natural instead of machine-learned. I feel it's a lot better that way overall and preserves the intention behind the text, rather than forcing it to be rewritten with unnecessary synonyms and sentence structures.
