What counts as a “book series” for your editing services?
A book series is any set of books in a unified narrative arc or theme. Whether it’s a trilogy, pentalogy, or even a ten‐book saga, I treat each book’s word count individually to give you the fairest price.
How should I let you know the details for a series quote?
Send me the total word count of each book in your series (not just an average), and tell me how many books you're planning. This helps me calculate time & cost accurately.
What kind of feedback will I get?
Comprehensive proofreading (grammar, punctuation, spelling). Line edits for clarity, flow, consistency in style and tone. Detailed corrections to dialogues and grammar for natural, believable speech. Comments on strengths, standout scenes, what’s working well. Suggestions for improvement: pacing.
How long does it take?
Time depends on word count, number of books, and the level of editing you need. After I have the book/word counts, I’ll share a turnaround estimate with your quote.
Which file formats work best for you?
Please send all manuscripts as a Microsoft Word document (.doc or .docx). This format allows me to provide clear, trackable edits and comments.
