Beta reading is a reader-focused review of your manuscript before publication. I read your work as a target reader and provide feedback on the plot, characters, pacing, emotional impact, dialogue, clarity, continuity, and overall reading experience
Do you proofread or edit?
Beta reading is different from proofreading and copyediting. My primary focus is your story and the reader experience. I may mention a distracting error occasionally, but I do not correct every spelling or grammar mistake unless proofreading is specifically included in your order.
Will you provide comments directly inside my manuscript?
Yes. Inline feedback is included in the standard and premium packages. I can place comments directly beside relevant passages so you can see exactly what caused a particular reader reaction, question, strength, or concern
What genres do you beta read?
I can beta read fiction including romance, contemporary fiction, fantasy, mystery, thriller, science fiction, young adult, and character-driven stories. If your genre isn't listed, message me before ordering
Will you tell me only what is wrong with my manuscript?
No, I believe useful beta feedback should be balanced. I will identify strengths and effective moments as well as areas that may need attention, so you know what to preserve
Can you check for plot holes and continuity problems?
Yes. Depending on your package, I can look for potential plot holes, timeline inconsistencies, character-knowledge issues, relationship continuity, and other story-logic concerns. I will distinguish potential issues from confirmed contradictions rather than automatically treating every unexplained.
