FAQ
What file do I need to send you for formatting?
Simply send your final manuscript in an editable format (preferably Microsoft Word .doc/.docx). If you have it in Google Docs or another format, that’s fine, I can work with it. The manuscript should be the proofread, final version (since formatting doesn’t correct typos or content).
Will formatting change any of my text or its content?
No. I’ll improve the appearance and structure of your book, but I won’t alter your words. The process is purely visual/layout. Your text, punctuation, and wording stay exactly as you wrote them.
Can you format both my eBook and paperback?
Absolutely! My Standard and Premium packages include both Kindle eBook formatting and print paperback formatting. In Basic, you can choose one or the other. Each format will be tailored to its requirements (e.g. clickable links in eBook, proper margin and page numbering in print).
Do you handle images, tables, or illustrations in the book?
Yes, I can format books with images, tables, graphics, etc. I ensure they are placed properly with correct margins and captions. My packages include a set number of images (see above), and I can handle more via a custom order or extra. Complex elements like tables will be styled consistently.
Will the formatted book meet Amazon KDP and other publishing guidelines?
Yes! I format according to the publishing industry standards. Your PDF and EPUB will meet Amazon KDP specs (and IngramSpark, etc., if applicable) for margins, bleed, embedded fonts, etc.
How do revisions work if I need changes?
I offer unlimited revisions within the scope of the original content. This means if you spot any formatting issues or want an adjustment (say, different chapter heading style or fixing a misaligned image), I’ll fix it promptly. Revisions are free. I’m committed to delivering a book format you love.
Do you also design book covers?
Yes, I do offer cover design service. Please contact before placing the order.
What software do you use for formatting?
I primarily use Microsoft Word (and Kindle Create when needed for certain Kindle-specific tweaks). These tools are industry-approved for formatting and allow for easy future editing. The final output (PDF/EPUB) will be compatible with publishing platforms.
