FAQ
What is an I Ching reading?
I Ching (易经), also known as the Book of Changes, is a traditional Chinese system used to understand the direction and development of a specific situation. It is especially useful when you are facing a decision, uncertainty or an important life matter.
How is I Ching different from BaZi?
BaZi uses your birth date and time to understand your overall personality, life patterns and timing. I Ching is more suitable when you have a specific question or situation and want to understand how it may develop.
How many questions can I ask?
Each consultation covers one main question or one situation. During the session, you may ask up to 3 related follow-up questions about the same matter. A completely different situation will require another reading.
Do you need my photo?
No. A photo is not required for an I Ching reading.
Do you need my birth date and birth time?
Normally no. Unlike BaZi, I Ching focuses on your specific question and situation rather than your birth chart. If additional information would be useful, I will let you know.
What type of questions can I ask?
You may ask about career, work, business, relationships, family matters, important decisions and other specific situations. The clearer and more focused the question, the more useful the reading will be.
How should I phrase my question?
Questions about the likely development of a situation work best. For example, instead of asking “Should I take this job?”, you may ask “If I accept this job, how is it likely to develop over the next 3 months?”
Is the consultation live?
Yes. The reading includes a private 60-minute live video consultation through Fiverr Zoom. I will explain the reading and you can ask related follow-up questions during the session.
Can the reading predict exactly what will happen?
I Ching can indicate the likely direction, opportunities, challenges and development of a situation, but no reading can guarantee a future outcome. Your own choices and circumstances can also affect what happens.
Can I ask about legal, medical or financial matters?
I can use I Ching to explore the likely direction or circumstances surrounding an important situation, but the reading is for personal guidance and reflection only. It does not replace professional legal, medical or financial advice.
