1) What do you need from me to start?
I need your use-case (support/lead gen/internal), your data sources (PDFs/Docs/URLs/Notion/help center), your preferred hosting (VPS/server/local), and any APIs/tools to connect (CRM, ticketing, Shopify/WooCommerce, etc.). If you want a website widget, share your site URL and where to embed it.
2) Is ClawdBot/Moltbot a WordPress or Shopify plugin chatbot?
No. Moltbot/OpenClaw (ClawdBot) is a self-hosted AI agent for automation + knowledge. It can connect to WordPress/Shopify via API/webhooks and can power a website chat widget through API integration. If you need a native WP/Shopify widget, I can provide/embed a chat widget as an add-on.
3) What is RAG and why do I need it?
RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) lets the bot answer from your documents/pages instead of guessing. It improves accuracy for policies, product info, FAQs, and internal knowledge.
4) What data sources can you use for the knowledge base?
PDFs, DOCX, TXT, CSV, website URLs/sitemaps, help-center articles, Google Docs exports, Notion exports, product catalogs, and more. (If something is private, you can share exports or provide access.)
5) Can you connect the bot to my tools and automate actions?
Yes—via custom API hooks/webhooks. Examples: create tickets, update CRM, send emails/Slack alerts, fetch order status, book appointments, or trigger workflows.
6) Do you provide hosting or do I need my own server?
You’ll need your own hosting (VPS/server/local machine). I can guide you on recommended specs and set everything up on your environment.
7) Can you add a live human handoff and lead capture?
Yes. I can add lead forms, email capture, contact routing, and handoff rules (email/Slack/CRM/ticketing).
