What files do I need to send you for Mixing and Mastering?
Please send your separate tracks (stems) in WAV or AIFF format (24-bit or 16-bit, 44.1kHz or higher). Make sure all your tracks are properly labeled (e.g., Kick, Snare, Lead Vocal) and that they are all aligned to start at the exact same time (bar 0) so they stay perfectly in sync.
Do you use real analog hardware or just digital plugins?
I use a powerful hybrid setup! Your tracks will be processed through genuine analog hardware, including a real SSL console/summing mixer and dedicated outboard gear. This gives your music that authentic warmth, depth, and punch that digital plugins alone cannot fully replicate.
Should I remove my plugins and effects before exporting the stems?
Please turn off any volume, panning, or master bus processing (like limiters or heavy compression). However, if a specific effect is crucial to the artistic sound of an instrument (like a unique delay or a specific guitar amp simulator), you can keep it turned on. Yes! I highly recommend sending a link to 1 or 2 reference songs from commercial artists that you want your track to sound like (e.g., a specific Oasis or rock mix style). A rough demo of your song is also very helpful so I can hear your original vision.
What formats will I receive upon final delivery?
You will receive a high-quality, uncompressed 24-bit WAV file ready for distribution, along with a high-quality 320kbps MP3 file for quick sharing and listening on mobile devices.
