About this Gig

Easy users guide: Download the PDF, print it out and trace over the faint characters in the copybook.

Detailed users guide:

Observe first: Focus your eyes on the faint model characters in the copybook. Observe carefully: the shape of each stroke, the starting point and the ending point. Remember strictly: follow the correct stroke order. Do not skip or reverse strokes.

Trace once: Keep your pencil close to the outline of the faint characters and trace stroke by stroke. Do not scribble, over-trace or redraw. Finish each stroke in one smooth move. Keep your eyes on where you write, and silently recite the name of each stroke. Example: For the character 十 horizontal stroke first, then vertical stroke.

Imitate once: After tracing, write the character independently in the blank space next to the model. Try to keep the size, structure and position the same as the model character.

Check and correct: Compare your writing with the model character. If there are mistakes, erase them clean and practise again until your writing meets the standard.
