About this Gig
Tokyo Local Support for Travelers, Expats & Businesses
Hello! I'm Yuriko, a native Japanese based in central Tokyo.
I support travelers, people living in or moving to Japan, and international businesses needing a trusted local contact. Think of me as your eyes, ears, and helping hands in Japan.
I can help with:
Local research and recommendations
Restaurants, hotels, activities, and transportation
Japanese calls, reservations, and business communication
Shopping, gifts, and product searches
Travel planning and support when plans change
Everyday-life information for living in Japan
Translation and other Japan-related VA support
On-site assistance in central Tokyo may be available, depending on my schedule.
Unexpected situations are a natural part of travel and daily life: illness, temporary closures, sold-out items, severe weather, or transportation disruptions.
When available, I will help you understand the situation, consider practical next steps, and reach an appropriate local service or professional when needed.
Support hours, response times, and scope will be agreed upon in advance.

FAQ
Should I message you before ordering?
Yes, please contact me first, especially for phone calls, reservations, on-site assistance, ongoing support, or multi-step requests. I will confirm the scope, schedule, and best package for you.
Can you provide on-site assistance in Tokyo?
Possibly. I am based in central Tokyo, and on-site assistance may be available depending on my schedule, location, and the nature of your request. Please contact me before ordering. Transportation and other expenses may require a custom offer.
Can you help if something unexpected happens?
Yes. Before support begins, I can share current conditions, possible disruptions, and useful emergency contacts. I may be assisting another client or in transit, so I cannot always respond immediately, but I will help as soon as I am available and guide you to the right local service.
Can you make phone calls or reservations in Japanese?
Yes. I can contact restaurants, shops, hotels, and other businesses in Japanese. However, availability, acceptance, prices, and reservation results cannot be guaranteed.
What information should I send you?
Please send your goal, preferred date or deadline, location, relevant links or photos, and what result you hope to receive. The more context you provide, the more effectively I can assist you.

Although my work with Yuriko wasn’t for business purposes, it was pure professional, the communication and the work itself was above any expectations. The level of detailing and handling was truly remarkable. I feel that I got the highest possible value for the paid amount I’m thankful for that.
