What is a beta reader?
A beta reader focuses on the reader experience; my feedback allows the author a glimpse into the mind of the reader. I focus on how the story feels, if it's engaging, what's confusing, and where attention drops. If you are in early revision or want feedback, try a beta reader!
What genres do you work with?
I work with both fiction (literary, contemporary, spectulative and YA), plays, screenplays, and creative nonfiction (memoirs, blog posts, UGC scripts). I specialize in narrative-driven work.
Do you offer proofreading or line editing?
No. I focus on big-picture feedback, structure, clarity, character development and storytelling. I do not provide grammar only proofreading or copyediting with this gig. Please look at my other gigs to see if one of them might be a better fit!
Do you work with first drafts?
Absolutely! First drafts are the perfect starting point for a beta reader.
Can you guarantee publication, acceptance, awards, etc.?
No. Feedback improves clarity and structure, but I cannot guarantee where your work goes from there. My goal is to help you present the strongest possible version of your work.
Do you accept rush orders?
Yes, when time allows. Please message me first to confirm availability. Rush delivery can be added as a gig extra.
Will you sign an NDA or keep my work confidential?
