FAQ
What do you need from me to get started?
Please provide the final mix of your track or podcast in a high-quality WAV file with at least 6 dB of headroom. If you’re choosing a stem mastering package, send the individual stems with clear labeling. Please use the following Settings when exporting: Bit-Depth: 24 Bit Dithering: Triangular
What formats will I receive?
You will receive your mastered track in multiple formats, including WAV, MP3 (320 kbit/s), and optional FLAC.
Can you save my song?
Unfortunately, we can't perform miracles – a bad recording won't turn into a masterpiece. However, we'll do our best to make the most of it. A solid starting point is crucial, though.
What is -6 dB headroom?
-6 dB headroom means leaving 6 decibels of space below the maximum peak level in your mix. This ensures there’s enough room for mastering without distortion, allowing us to optimize your track’s sound.
Can you master tracks in any genre?
Absolutely! We have experience in a wide range of genres, from electronic and pop to rock, hip-hop, and podcasts. We are specialised in electronic music, especially House/Tech House/Techno. Every track is treated with the care it deserves.
What is the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing involves adjusting individual tracks (vocals, instruments, etc.) to create a balanced and cohesive sound. Mastering is the final step, where the track is polished, optimized for different platforms, and prepared for release.
What is the difference between a WAV file and an MP3 file?
WAV files are uncompressed, high-quality audio files, while MP3s are compressed to reduce file size, often at the cost of some audio quality. We deliver both formats to ensure your tracks are ready for various uses.
Why Don’t You Use Analog Gear?
We believe analog gear is often overrated. We use top-tier digital plugins available on the market, which allow us to achieve 98% of a perfect sound. While the remaining 2% might be attainable through analog equipment, the difference is so subtle that it’s virtually undetectable to most listeners.
