About this Gig
You may have copied and pasted your manuscript into the AI software of your choice and asked it to beta read your story; but in a lot of instances this approach is only going to get you so far. At some point you will need the kind of feedback that only a human can provide.
Some stories need different things, some need just a bit of tweaking while others need a more fundemental approach.
I can identify the route cause of any issues in your manuscript and give practical, helpful resolutions to iron those bugs out and make your story the best it can be.
After beta reading your manuscript, I will write a Readers Report covering my impressions of your story, including general thoughts, characters, dialogue, pacing, plot and readability.
Along the way I will provide honest feedback and constructive, practical methods on how to improve on any issues your manuscript may have, and all of this is carried out on a level that an AI simply cannot do.

Will you read a manuscript over 100k words?

Will you read dark, grim or disturbing stories?
Absolutely. In my years of reading and writing I have both read, and written some pretty disturbing stories.
How quickly will you read a manuscript?
On average, my daily word count is around 10k words a day.
Is this the same as a proofread?
No. In essence they're the same, but they look for different things. A proofreader looks for gramatical, syntax and spelling errors. A beta reader is looking at the more fundemental aspects of a story such as the plot, pacing, characters, dialogue and other similar things.
What if I'm not sure if my story fits into the horror or thriller genre?
That's fine, I read all subgenres of horror and thriller.
Do you offer varying levels of critique?
Yes. I can critique your manuscript in three levels. 1. Go easy on me! 2. Not too hard, not too soft. 3. Hurt me plenty! (NOTE - Some people aren't always ready for this option as it will be a pure unfiltered and objective critique on your story. So choose wisely.)
